GPTCA represented in Portugal

The GPTCA is now represented in Portugal thanks to the appointment of its National President, Frederico Marques. Marques is a professional tennis coach who currently coaches the best Portuguese tennis player João Sousa. He's been working at the BTT Tennis Academy (Barcelona Total Tennis) with Francis Roig (second coach of Rafael Nadal), Jordi Vilaro (ex coach of Feliciano Lopez, Tommy Robredo) and Alvaro Margets (coach of Fernando Vicente).

 

 

COACHING CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
> With Joao Sousa, moved from No. 220 to the top 50 in the Emirates ATP Rankings and became the first Portuguese man to win an ATP title at the Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur
> Worked with the Chinese Davis Cup team and Ya-Nan Ma
> Honored as 2013 Portuguese Coach of the Year by The Record, internet newspaper
> Has worked with Teymuraz Gabashvili, Anrau Brugues, Inigo Cervantes, Adrian Menendez, Steven Diez, James McGee, Denis Matsukevic, Valery Rudnev and Di Wu
