First Course in Sports Psychology

The GPTCA organized a new course led by the Italian president and world-renowned coach Alberto Castellani. The first course on the mental training, specialized in sport psychology, was held during the Bettona in Shape festival (18-20 July, 2014). The subject was "The mental training for high level tennis players.

 

The GPTCA members got opportunity to obtain the "The First Level Tennis Mental Trainer" diploma by the Italian Sport Psychology High School. It was an update certificate for the GPTCA coaches.

 

There were 65 participants: tennis masters, trainers, sports psychologists, physical trainers and sports doctors. Three former top 100 players were among them.

 

The course speakers included Alberto Castellani (professor at the University of Perugia and president of GPTCA), Federico Venceslai (sports psychologist), Alessandra Parroni (sport psychologist), Ferdinando Galassi (psychiatrist and psychotherapist in Careggi hospital in Florence), Stefano Tamorri (psychiatrist, specialist in sports medicine and rector of the University of Miami Newport), Manuela Benzi (psychologist specializing in sports psychology), Erasmo Palma (tennis teacher and president of the National UISP) and Renato Palma (phychotherapist).

GPTCA Course in Belgrade Completed

GPTCA represented in Cyprus
